Birth Doula Services Amsterdam
Packages, Pricing & What to Expect — Tailored to Your Journey
Who This Is For
You've already decided you want a doula. Now you're choosing the right level of support for your specific journey. Whether you're a first-time mother stepping into the unknown, a second-time mother healing from a previous birth, a mother navigating a medical transfer, or a family wanting continuous care from pregnancy through postpartum — there is a package here that was designed with you in mind.
Every package is a starting point, not a ceiling. If you don't see exactly what you need, reach out. I would rather have a conversation than have you leave without the support you deserve.
Hiring Me as Your Birth Doula in Amsterdam — Step by step process
STEP 1- Book a Free Introduction Call — This is a mutual investment of time and it is important for you to collect all the information you need: I am willing to invest time so that you walk away with a clear sense of completion and clarity. I take on a limited number of births per month so that I can serve with full devotion.
STEP 2 - Hiring Process: The moment you reach back to me — I will confirm that I am still available and if not I would be happy to refer you to another doula. When available we will discuss about your preferred package and the payment structure (see below) — I will send you the contract within 24 hours. The contract is due signing within 3 business days and is followed by a retainer fee that secures me as your Doula.
What happens once you hire me?
-
Workbook, Videos and Prenatal Intake Form: I will share with you the video classes, part of the handouts included in your package and your Prenatal Intake Form.
-
Scheduling Prenatal Visits: I will schedule the sessions based on our availabilities — during the first visit we will look into a possible calendar that suits you and your partner, aiming to our last session before week 36.
-
While I serve you as a doula, we will connect via what's app or email from the moment you hire me: you can alway reach out, plan a call if extra support outside the prenatal visits is needed: I am here for you.
-
Once the On Call Period starts (week 37 until baby is born) we will talk more regularly, to make sure you feel held and supported and I am up to date on any changes and conversations with your midwives. This is also the time where I am available 24/7 and I am ready to reach you as you ask me to join you.
What happens when labor starts ?
I am ready at any moment to reach you for offering support once active labor starts or earlier if that's what you wish. I am available to offer continuous support, regardless the length of you labor — I don't check the clock. I ask you to keep me informed at the first signs: sometimes early labor lasts for a few days, with irregular contractions patterns that start and stop and allow you to go on with your life, sleep and eat, even go for walks. Sometimes things move quickly and you may want to have me with you right away. We will discuss together your preferences.
What happens after birth?
I will be with you for a few hours during the immediate postpartum, regardless the birth setting and I will be available for the first 6 weeks after childbirth for any questions you may have.
I will come to visit you and your family once while the Kraamzorg is present or later on during your postpartum window, to have an opportunity to connect again, share about your birth experience and process what feels still open. Depending on the package you have chosen this meeting will include Postpartum Care (minimum 3hr Home Visit).
Each package is designed to meet you where you are — with care, wisdom, and presence, however, if you feel that something is missing, I would be happy to have a conversation to understand how to better meet your needs.
I serve the Dutch and Expat Community in and around Amsterdam in English and Italian.

The Returning — Birth Doula Support
This offering is crafted for second time mothers that know the importance of a grounded and calm space for the unfolding of their birthing process. Hiring a doula for a second (or subsequent birth) is often motivated by a desire for a different, more supported, or more intentional experience than the first - or from having had a doula by your side already. While the first experience is about navigating the unknown, the subsequents are shaped by specific needs, either related to their growing family and how integrate toddlers and children in the process or avoid medical interventions (VBAC)

The Bridge — Transfer of Care Birth Support
This offering is crafted having in mind the special needs of women that for medical reasons are transferred to hospital care from week 37 onwards or that feel a sudden need for extra support last minute (from week 37 until week 41). Reasons for a transfer can be an induction or a change in the health of mom or baby. When this happens, women often experience a range of difficult emotions, mostly caused by a sudden change of their expected birthing experience. Navigating the shock and disappointment, the fear and the anxiety on their own and having to temporarily say good bye to their midwives places women in a space of limbo while navigating a different medical system. I will strive to make space for you and when my workload doesn't allow I will refer you to another doula.

Prenatal Intake + Processing and Redefine your Birth Plan: As your medical conditions change, so does your birth plan. I will support you in redefining your options and connect with your baby and partner around childbirth. If time allows we will include basic comfort measures and partner support.

Visit with the medical team: I will be with you to advocate and support you in asking the right questions as you navigate the medical system.

Solo & Supported — Birth Doula Add-On
Giving birth without a partner by your side is one of the most courageous things a woman can do. You will not be alone in that room.
Whether you are a single parent by choice, your partner cannot be present, or logistics make it impossible — I am here. You can add a second doula to any package for continuous support during the latent phase of labor, at a reduced rate of €50/hour.
Because no woman should labor without someone steadily, lovingly beside her.
